HKBU has received a HK$4 million donation from Ms Eileen Tsui, Managing Director of Nankai Transport International (HK) Co., Ltd., for the establishment of a student enrichment fund under Project SEED (Students Engagement, Enrichment, and Development). The fund will support students to engage in an array of activities including international exchange programmes, overseas competitions, conferences and internships. Besides, the fund will help launch projects that aim to enhance students’ employability.

Ms Tsui is a dedicated supporter of the University. In addition to providing financial support for the University’s various endeavours, she has offered wise counsel on the governance and development of the University by serving as an Honorary Court Member of the University and a Member of the Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation. Ms Tsui has been very supportive of the University’s advancement, particularly its student exchange programmes. With her generous support, the “Eileen L. Tsui International Student Exchange Scholarship” was established in 2017.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought great challenges to businesses and industries worldwide. Foreseeing the issues university graduates will encounter during the current economic downturn, HKBU has recently launched Project SEED. The Project aims to support students by collaborating with the University community to provide various career, mentorship and internship opportunities.
