HKBU Information Day showcases academic excellence and campus life

HKBU’s Information Day for Undergraduate Admissions, held on 7 October, drew an impressive turnout of over 17,000 participants. Despite adverse weather conditions, numerous secondary school students, parents and teachers visited the University’s campuses in Kowloon Tong to explore various activities and gather valuable information about admissions and programmes.

The highlights of the day were a series of tailored admissions talks designed specifically for students with HKDSE, Associate Degree/Higher Diploma, and international qualifications. In addition, a distinctive lecture titled “Nurturing Future Ready Students: Transdisciplinary and Technology” provided insights into how HKBU prepares students for the challenges of the future. These talks, available both in person and online, enabled students, parents and teachers to stay informed about the latest admission information and gain a deeper understanding of the University’s education.

HKBU’s faculties and schools presented approximately 80 programme sessions and thematic talks. Besides taking part in these informative sessions, participants also explored the diverse learning experiences and teaching facilities on campus. From news production and live scoring to glassblowing and jewellery-making workshops, attendees immersed themselves in various interactive experiences and hands-on demonstrations. Many also seized the chance to interact with current students, alumni and teachers, and gained insights about our programmes and campus life.

Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, students from the Academy of Music, Dance Society, and Department of Sport, Physical Education and Health delivered impressive performances, showcasing the diverse artistic and athletic opportunities available at HKBU.

The success of the Information Day highlights the University’s commitment to providing a holistic and enriching learning experience. By offering a wide range of academic programmes, innovative teaching, a dynamic campus culture, HKBU continues to empower students to become future leaders in their respective fields.
