HKBU receives HK$2.3 million in support of Chinese Medicine development

Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) received a generous donation of HK$2.3 million from the Vincent and Lily Woo Foundation in support of a collaborative research project by the HKBU School of Chinese Medicine and Cornell University. The project is entitled "East Meets West: A Revolutionised Nanotechnology Approach to Modernise the Delivery of Chinese Medicine for Vast Improved Cancer Therapeutic Efficacy".

 

In recognition of the donor's generosity, a ceremony officiated by Ms Alice Woo, Founder of the Vincent and Lily Woo Foundation, and Professor Roland Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU, was held today (20 April).

 

HKBU representatives attending the ceremony included Professor Bian Zhaoxiang, Associate Vice-President (Chinese Medicine Development) and Director of the Clinical Division of the School of Chinese Medicine; Mr Yeung Chee-kong, Associate Vice-President (Engagement); Professor Lyu Aiping, Dean of Chinese Medicine, and Mrs Lily Chan, Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation.
