The ceremony was officiated by Professor Roland Chin, HKBU President and Vice-Chancellor, and Professor Chow Bik-chu, Head of the Department of Sport and Physical Education.

Professor Chow Bik-chu said: “Now in its third consecutive year, EAAS is well regarded by elite athletes as it not only allows them to have the opportunity to pursue degree programmes, but it also encourages them to promote healthy lifestyles and to advance sports culture among the community in their capacity as sport promotion ambassadors. The number of applicants also continues to grow.”

Professor Chow also thanked the University for its continued assistance and for the latest round of financial support to the EAAS. The Department will continue to provide athletes with various types of support so that they can strike a good balance between training, competing and studying.
