HKBU's annual Golf Day raises HK$2.6 million

Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) held the HKBU.Tibet 5100 Golf Day 2018 at the Eden Course of The Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling today (2 November).

 

Attracting 200 participants, the event featured 158 contestants who formed 40 teams to compete for 25 awards. This year, the annual event successfully raised HK$2.6 million for the University's 10-year Institutional Strategic Plan.

 

Officiating at the Tee-Off Ceremony today were Mr Sunny Wong, Executive Director of Tibet Water Resources Ltd, the event's title sponsor; Mr Allan Kwong, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Regal Holdings Corporation, the event's venue sponsor; Dr Moses Cheng, Chairman of the Independent Insurance Authority; Dr Ronald Lu and Ir Professor Wong Kwok-keung, Co-Chairmen of the Organising Committee; Dr William Leung, Mr So Wing-kin, and Mr Lau Pak-shing, Vice-Chairmen of the Organising Committee; Professor Roland Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor; and Mrs Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation.

Since 2004, the Golf Day has raised a total of over HK$16.6 million.
