HKBU receives HK$30 million donation from Mr Stanley Yim

Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) recently received a generous donation of HK$30 million from Mr Stanley Yim, Chairman of S.A.S. Dragon Holdings Limited, in support of the University's Institutional Strategic Plan 2018-2028 and the establishment of a student development fund designated for student exchanges, internships and innovative service-learning.

 

Mr Yim has always been enthusiastic about public welfare. He actively supports charities and social services in Hong Kong, and was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star by the Government.

 

In recognition of the donor's generosity, a cheque presentation ceremony was held on 8 August 2019. It was officiated by Mr Stanley Yim; Mrs Virginia Yim; Dr Clement Chen, Chairman of the Council and the Court of HKBU; and Professor Roland Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU.

 

Other guests attending the ceremony included Mr and Mrs Yim's family members, Mr Jacky Yim, Mrs Jeanly Yim, Mr Jeffrey Char and Mr Jeffrey Yim; Dr Justin Chiu, Executive Director of CK Asset Holdings Limited; Mr David Wong and Mr Peter Wong, Executive Directors of S.A.S. Dragon Holdings Limited; Mr Danny Chin, Chief Treasury Officer of S.A.S. Dragon Holdings Limited; and Miss Frente Mak, Secretary to Mr Stanley Yim. HKBU representatives included Mr Yeung Chee-kong, Associate Vice-President (Engagement), and Mrs Lily Chan, Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation.
