HKBU appoints Dr Alison E Lloyd as Associate Vice-President (Institutional Research and Strategic Planning)

Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) has appointed Dr Alison E Lloyd as Associate Vice-President (Institutional Research and Strategic Planning) with effect from 13 May 2020.

 

Dr Lloyd is currently the Director of the Institutional Research and Planning Office and Director of the International Affairs Office at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). She worked in the field of management consulting prior to joining the higher education sector.

 

Dr Lloyd received her bachelor's degree in Hotel Management and doctoral degree in Marketing from PolyU.

 

President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Roland Chin welcomes Dr Lloyd to the University's senior management team. He said, "I believe that Dr Lloyd's prolific experience as an educator and an administrative leader can contribute to the University's long-term strategic development and attainment of its advancement goals."

 

As Associate Vice-President (Institutional Research and Strategic Planning), Dr Lloyd will play an instrumental role in supporting the advancement of the University, particularly in the implementation of the Institutional Strategic Plan (2018-2028). She will lead efforts to spearhead the use of analytics and business intelligence to foster a culture of data-informed decision-making, and support a number of planning-related initiatives.
