Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) will hold its JUPAS Virtual Consultation Days from 27 to 29 May. The latest information about admissions and introductions to the University's programmes will be provided through a variety of live sessions during the three-day event, with more than 20 webinars to be conducted daily from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
The University's Faculty of Arts, School of Business, School of Chinese Medicine, School of Communication, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Social Sciences and Academy of Visual Arts will all offer briefings and consultations on individual programmes by hosting a series of online live sessions. Most of these sessions will be followed by time set aside for interactive questions and answers. Potential applicants and members of the public will be able to ask questions and get instant advice from HKBU academics and current students on the information required.
HKBU is offering two new undergraduate programmes starting in the 2020-21 academic year. They are:
Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) in Acting for Global Screen
This programme is a unique, interdisciplinary undergraduate programme offered by HKBU's Academy of Film. It combines acting, training and performance studies, plus understanding of technology and contemporary cultural reflection in its curriculum. The programme also covers internships available at professional performance bodies as well as overseas training and learning opportunities.
Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Global and China Studies
This newly developed programme offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences studies the interrelationship between the transformation in globalisation and the transformation in China. It aims to equip and inspire students to participate actively in China and international affairs under the global order.
In addition, the Virtual Consultation Days will feature numerous thematic talks, virtual laboratory demonstrations and alumni/student sharing sessions. Students who want to study at HKBU can stay at home and stay tuned for the latest admission information on different programmes offered by the University.
