The Academy of Visual Arts (AVA) at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) will present its Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Visual Arts Graduation Show from 3 to 25 June on the University’s Kai Tak Campus. Themed “and still they move”, the exhibition will showcase the artworks of 134 graduating students which express their thoughts on “faith” and “decision-making”, as well as their artistic endeavours.
The exhibits are presented through a variety of art forms, which include painting, sculpture, ink painting, ceramics, glass, installation, jewellery, wearables, photography, video, media art, illustration, performance art and printmaking. They show the graduating students’ unwavering commitment to art and their response to the ever-changing world. For photos and descriptions of the 12 selected artworks from the exhibition, please download from this link:
The artworks will be installed at different locations of the Kai Tak Campus, turning the Grade 1 historic building, the former Royal Air Force Officers’ Mess, into a creative platform where the students’ art talent shines.
An opening ceremony will be held on 2 June (Friday). A media tour will be organised in the afternoon of the same day.
Members of the public who are interested in visiting the exhibition from 3 to 25 June are required to make an online reservation via this link.
