Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) will hold its Information Day for Undergraduate Admissions on 4 October (Saturday), offering over 100 exciting activities and talks to provide secondary school students, parents, and teachers with a deeper understanding of its undergraduate programmes and admissions information. Participants will also have the chance to explore the University’s teaching and learning facilities and campus environment, including the Jockey Club Campus of Creativity and its Village CARE, which will be open to the public for the first time. Visitors can experience the vibrant and diverse university life at HKBU firsthand.

The event will take place at HKBU’s Kowloon Tong campus from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm. Four admission talks tailored respectively for HKDSE students, sub-degree students, and local and Mainland students with international or other qualifications will be conducted this year. Meanwhile, HKBU’s faculties and schools, including the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, School of Business, School of Chinese Medicine, School of Communication, School of Creative Arts, Faculty of Science, School of Continuing Education and Division of Transdisciplinary Undergraduate Programmes, will also host a series of talks to showcase the uniqueness of their programmes and provide admissions information. Participants will have the chance to interact with HKBU faculty and students.

HKBU has been dedicated to promoting transdisciplinary education in the past years. The Division of Transdisciplinary Undergraduate Programmes will organise the “Transdisciplinary Interview - MOCK IT!” activity, enabling participants to master interview skills while learning how to integrate knowledge and views from different fields to tackle real-world challenges through transdisciplinary collaboration.

One of the highlights of the Information Day is the opportunity to visit the Jockey Club Campus of Creativity, which integrates innovative and sustainable development concepts. The Campus features state-of-the-art facilities across various creative disciplines, including the Jockey Club Creative Hub equipped with cutting-edge amenities for music, film, and other creative fields. Activities such as the piano masterclass, recording studio workshop, and film scoring workshop will also be held on the day. Additionally, the Village CARE, comprising four new residential colleges, will be open to the public for the first time.

There will also be screenings or showcases of graduate and student works, as well as workshops and activities including screen acting, VR/AR games experience, news anchoring, glass blowing, woodworking, and Chinese calligraphy.

Free shuttle bus service between HKBU campus and Kowloon Tong MTR Station (Exit D) will be available between 9:50 am and 5:50 pm.

Participants will have the chance to receive special giveaways, including monthly planners, “cheer up” pins for DSE candidates, perpetual calendars and plush keychains. Please visit the HKBU Information Day website (https://infoday.hkbu.edu.hk/) to register and learn more about the activities.
