To celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) and the 25th anniversary of the Clinical Division of the School of Chinese Medicine, the nine HKBU Chinese medicine clinics will offer a 20% discount on consultation fees and specialist treatment fees. The Clinical Division will also provide a variety of special promotions during the “HKBU Wellness Month”, including selected premium Chinese medicinal materials up to 30% off, wellness products at 10% off, and free Chinese medicine talks. These initiatives aim to encourage the public to enhance their health during the summer and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Professor Sun Feng, Director of the Clinical Division and Professor of Practice of the School of Chinese Medicine at HKBU said: “This year marks the 70th anniversary of HKBU and the 25th anniversary of the Clinical Division. Through this series of promotions, we hope to encourage more members of the public to learn about Chinese medicine wellness and to integrate disease prevention and health management concepts into their daily lives, promoting better health and enhancing their quality of life.”
Members of the public can enjoy a 20% discount when using HKBU’s Chinese medicine services, covering consultation and specialist treatment fees. Medication costs, additional treatment fees, or specific items will be charged separately based on actual expenses. Appointments can be made from today onwards through the online booking system, by phone, or in-person at HKBU’s Chinese medicine clinics.
The “HKBU Wellness Month” in July each year is a signature event organised by the Hong Kong Baptist University ‒ Jockey Club Chinese Medicine Disease Prevention and Health Management Centre at Prince Edward (the Prevention Centre), one of HKBU’s Chinese medicine clinics. The event aims to promote the Chinese medicine principle of disease prevention. The public can enjoy discounts up to 30% off on selected premium Chinese medicinal materials and a 10% discount on wellness products when purchasing in person at the Prevention Centre. A 10% discount on wellness products is also available for online orders.
During the Wellness Month, the Prevention Centre will host a total of eight free talks conducted by HKBU Chinese medicine practitioners every Saturday in July, covering topics such as skin diseases, dietary health, sleep quality, lumbar disorders, cervical spondylosis, and prostate enlargement. Seats are limited and registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
In addition, the Clinical Division of the School of Chinese Medicine at HKBU will host the “Chinese Medicine Master Forum: Specialist Series—Summit on Chinese Medicine for Ears, Eyes, Mouth, Nose and Dermatology” on 2 August, as well as the “Celebrating the National Day - Wofoo and HKBUCM Free Consultation Day” on 1 October. The Free Consultation Day will offer free Chinese medicine consultations and treatments, and each participant will receive two doses of basic Chinese medicine prescriptions.
