HKBU Information Day to showcase undergraduate programmes and offer participants the chance to experience university life through over 100 activities

Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) will hold its Information Day (Info Day) for Undergraduate Admissions on 3 October (Saturday), featuring more than 100 exciting activities and talks for secondary school students, parents, and teachers. Visitors can learn about HKBU’s undergraduate programmes and admissions arrangements, and get to experience its vibrant campus life. Marking the University’s 70th anniversary this year, participants can look back on HKBU’s history by visiting the newly renovated HKBU History Gallery and the BU Bridge. Additionally, a number of modern teaching facilities will be open for visitors to explore the campus learning environment and experience the University's spirit of heritage and innovation.

The event will be held at HKBU’s Kowloon Tong campus from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm. Four admissions talks will be offered to HKDSE students, sub-degree students, as well as local and Chinese Mainland students with international or other qualifications.

HKBU’s faculties, schools and academic units – including the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, School of Business, School of Chinese Medicine, School of Communication, School of Creative Arts, Faculty of Science and Technology, Division of Transdisciplinary Undergraduate Programmes and HKBU College of International Education* – will organise programme talks. Participants will have opportunities to learn about the distinctive features of HKBU programmes for 2027 entry, receive admissions information, and interact with faculty members and students.

One of the highlights of this year's Info Day is the official renaming of the “Faculty of Science” to the “Faculty of Science and Technology” in September, a change that more accurately reflects the Faculty’s forward-looking positioning and strengths. Participants can visit the Faculty’s booth and join its activities to learn about its history and various programmes, as well as explore the diverse opportunities brought by technological advancements.

Another highlight is the opportunity to explore HKBU’s distinctive learning spaces, including the Robotics Lab and the Jockey Club White Box. The Robotics Lab is a digital fabrication facility equipped with advanced tools such as robotic arms, laser cutters, and 3D printers for innovative learning and rapid prototyping. The Jockey Club White Box is an immersive art-tech space featuring advanced audio platform and visual projection systems to support experimentation, create collaboration and immersive experiences.

Visitors are also welcome to explore the Jockey Club Campus of Creativity and Village CARE, a creative residential learning environment. The event will feature a range of hands-on activities, including piano masterclass, a recording studio workshop, screen acting, VR/AR game experiences, glass blowing and Chinese calligraphy. Visitors can also enjoy screenings and showcases of works by graduates and students.

For the convenience of visitors, free shuttle bus service between the HKBU campus and Kowloon Tong (Suffolk Road) Public Transport Interchange will be available between 9:30 am and 6:00 pm.

During the event, in addition to attractive souvenirs from each Faculty, participants will also have the chance to receive limited-edition souvenirs designed by the HKBU Academic Registry for the Info Day, including collectible figurines and keychains.
