HKBU congratulates Cheung Ka-long on clinching silver medal in Men’s Foil Team at Asian Games

Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) congratulates Cheung Ka-long, a member of the Fencing Team of Hong Kong, China, on winning the silver medal in the Men’s Foil Team event at the Asian Games today (25 September).

Professor Alex Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU, expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Cheung Ka-long: “The HKBU community has been closely following Ka-long’s competitions at the Asian Games, fully aware that he has been competing while managing a wrist injury. After the individual event, Ka-long quickly readjusted and demonstrated exceptional resilience and adaptability. Together with his teammates, he showed outstanding teamwork and team spirit, winning the silver medal and achieving an excellent result for Hong Kong, China. His performance has made the entire HKBU community immensely proud.”

Cheung Ka-long was awarded a scholarship under HKBU’s Talented Athletes Direct Admission Scheme, and is studying in the Bachelor of Physical Education and Recreation Management programme at the University.
