Mr Lam Cheung Chun is a successful entrepreneur. By upholding integrity in conducting all of his businesses, adopting a core value of “achieving and exceeding customer satisfaction”, and servicing society through acts of virtue, he founded his business and developed it into an established enterprise. He is now Chairman of Sun Tin Lun Holdings Limited.
 
Mr Lam is a visionary man. In 1993, he founded the Suzhou Xintianlun Garment Company Limited in Suzhou Industrial Park with a business scope that includes textile, garment, label weaving and printing, and the company boasts an international clientele from places around the globe including Europe and the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Mainland China. The company gained popularity and confidence from clients locally and overseas. In 1997, he established Sin Tin Lun (HK) Garment Accessories Company Limited and Sun Tin Lun Offset Printing Factory Limited. In 1999, he set up two manufacturing plants in Huizhou: Xintianlun Textile (Huizhou) Company Limited and Xintianlun (Huizhou) Garment Company Limited. In recent years, the Group further established two industrial centres, namely in Huizhou and Suzhou, and all its business arms continued to thrive. In 2013, he made his first foray into the food business by establishing Huizhou Jiangmenren Food Company Limited and becoming its Chairman, committed to upholding food safety and providing high quality food products for society.
 
With his strong belief in “What is taken from the community is to be used for the good of the community”, Mr Lam has generously supported various meaningful charitable causes including the construction of schools in Huizhou, sponsorship of medical expenses for the underprivileged, providing disaster relief, and more. His donations and efforts have greatly contributed towards the economic and social development of the Huizhou and the Guangdong Province. He is the Chairperson of Huizhou Division of the Pearl River Delta Council of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, Vice Chairman of Huizhou Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, President of the Council of the Huicheng District Foreign Investment Enterprise Association , Member of the Huicheng District Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Standing Committee, Special Guest of the 11th CPPCC Huizhou City Committee, Honorary Chairman of Huizhou Cultural Studies Association, and others. In recognition of his philanthropy, Mr Lam has been honoured with many awards including the Huizhou City Contribution Award; Advanced Individual Award for National Returned Overseas Chinese and Relatives (惠城區人民政府捐資辦學先進個人獎); Huizhou City Hakka Culture Activities Series Outstanding Contribution Unit (惠州市各家文化系列活動突出貢獻單位); Charity Walk cum Poverty Relief Day Bronze Award, Huicheng District; Advanced Individual for Donations toward Education Award, Huicheng City People’s Government; Charity Walk cum Poverty Relief Day Silver Award, Huicheng District; and the Huizhou Federation of Charitable Associations Huizhou Charity Contribution Award.
 
Mr Lam is also a patron of various charitable causes in Hong Kong, dedicating his efforts in public services including as Member of Fundraising Committee Lions Club of Tuen Mun. He is also deeply committed to Hong Kong’s cultural developments especially in sinology studies of Professor Jao Tsung-I. He was Committee Member of the Jao Tsung-I Petite Ecole and Honorary Director of the Jao Studies Research Foundation, and others.
 
Mr Lam Cheung Cheun has always been supportive of the various initiatives of the University. Mr Lam has been serving as Member of the Entrepreneur Committee of the Hong Kong Baptist University Foundation and Honorary Chairman of the Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology (JAS) Development Fund. Over the years, he has made generous donations to HKBU for its development. In 2013, he was the Vice-chairman of the Organising Committee of the Fundraising Dinner for the JAS, helping to raise funds for the Academy.
 
Mr Lam Cheung Chuen is a successful entrepreneur with a strong sense of social responsibility. He is deeply committed to social services, cultural development as well as the education enterprise, and has rendered full support to the development of whole person education and academic research of the University.
