Marketing scholars and student win Outstanding Paper Award at international symposium

Dr Noel Siu, Associate Professor, Dr Tracy Zhang, Assistant Professor, and Ms Kwan Ho- yan, PhD student from the Department of Marketing, School of Business, won the Outstanding Paper Award for their co-authored paper entitled “Service recovery and identification: The role of corporate social responsibility and service co-creation” at the 6th International Research Symposium in Service Management held in Malaysia. 

 

The award-winning paper was commended as enriching the existing literature on service co-creation and corporate social responsibility in the context of service recovery. Dr Siu said: “We are so honoured to receive the award at the Symposium. It is an indication that our research focus has won recognition and the quality of the study is acknowledged in the international academic community.”

 

The Symposium aims to provide a platform for local and international scholars to present and share their research in service management as well as to promote the exchange of knowledge between academics and practitioners to achieve service excellence. This year the Symposium attracted over 300 academics from all over the world and the submission of more than 90 papers.
