HKBU receives HK$15 million donation from Chan Hon Yin Couple Charity Trust

HKBU has received a generous donation of HK$15 million from the Chan Hon Yin Couple Charity Trust in support of the University’s clinical Chinese medicine research.


In appreciation of the donor’s beneficence, a cheque presentation ceremony was held on 6 December. Officiating at the ceremony were Mr Anthony Chan, Chairman of the Chan Hon Yin Couple Charity Trust and Managing Director of the Tiger Enterprise Corporation; Mr Tommy Chan, Director of the Tiger Enterprise Corporation; Ms Donna Chan and Mr Alan Chan, Executive Directors of the Corporation; Dr Clement Chen, Chairman of the Council and the Court at HKBU; and Professor Alexander Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU. 


At the ceremony, Mr Anthony Chan said he and his family members have cast their vote of confidence in HKBU’s preparatory work for Hong Kong's first Chinese Medicine Hospital.


Other HKBU representatives attending the ceremony included Ms Christine Chow, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary; Professor Bian Zhaoxiang, Associate Vice-President (Chinese Medicine Development); Professor Lyu Aiping, Dean of Chinese Medicine; and Mrs Lily Chan, Director of the University Advancement Office and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation.
