HKBU’s annual Golf Day raises HK$2.3 million for institutional development

HKBU held the “HKBU 65th Anniversary．ASHWORTH Golf Day 2021” on 29 October on the Eden Course of The Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling. The event attracted over 200 participants, and 161 of them formed 41 teams to compete for 29 awards. The event successfully raised HK$2.3 million for the HKBU Foundation.

 

The funds raised will be used to support the University’s strategic development, particularly the six interdisciplinary research laboratories, Project SEED (Student Engagement, Enrichment and Development), as well as the provision of scholarships for needy students, which will enable them to pursue further studies or participate in overseas exchange activities.   

 

After several rounds of vigorous competition, Elite Champ Team won the overall championship and Baptist Chemists Team captured the Alumni Cup Champion. In the individual contest, Mr Donald Man claimed the Net Score championship. 

 

Since 2004, the Golf Day has raised a total of more than HK$22.5 million.
