Tuesday, 26 March 2024

A team of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) students clinched the second runner-up title in the Future HR Talents Hackathon 2023/24, competing against seven other local university teams. Their success was due in no small part to the guidance and coaching  by Dr Felix Yip, Teaching Consultant of the Department of Management, Marketing and Information Systems, and Associate Director of the Centre for Human Resources Strategy and Development.

The winning team comprises Maggie Tang Cheuk-lam, Kiki Ho Huen-yan, Michelle Wong Yi-tung, Nicole Ng Yuen-chai, all Year 4 BBA Human Resources Management (HRM) Concentration students. They prepared for the competition meticulously and devoted themselves to the in-depth analysis of case data, crafting a comprehensive written report that focused on problem identification and analysis, and delivering a compelling presentation on the competition day.

Organised by the Hong Kong Management Association Human Capital Management Society, the Hackathon provides students with   HRM and business challenges that closely resemble real-life scenarios, while encouraging insights sharing, knowledge exchange, and networking among HR experts, professors, lecturers, and emerging talents.
