Communication students shine at creative branding competition

18 Mar 2022

Three teams of students from the School of Communication and Film won two Bronze awards and a Merit award at the HK4As Students’ Award 2021 for their creative integrated branding campaigns.

The theme of this year’s contest was “cinema”. Given the drop in the number of people going to the cinema in recent years, the participating teams were required to develop creative proposals to draw people back to movie theatres.

Public Relations and Advertising (PRA) Year 4 students Chloe Li, Carman Hui and Karman Wong clinched the Bronze award for their campaign “Cinecation”. PRA Year 3 students Helen Leung, Charlotte Wong, Steven Kwan and Eugene Wan received a Bronze award for their pitch “4 Clouds”. Meanwhile, Year 4 students Jinyang Tang and Haoming Shen of the Integrated Communication Management programme also received a Merit award for their proposal “A Hours Escape Plan”.

The HK4As Students’ Award is part of the Kam Fan Awards organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of Hong Kong (HK4As). The Kam Fan Awards are highly regarded as the “Grand Prix” accolade of the Hong Kong advertising industry.
