HKBU International Writers' Workshop Literary Festival gathers overseas writers and emphasises well-being

The International Writers' Workshop (IWW) of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) will host its annual Literary Festival from 14 to 17 March with the theme "Writing and Well-being". This year's Festival will feature six international Writers-in-Residence who will virtually participate in various activities with readers to explore how writing can foster personal growth, encourage mindfulness, and increase emotional well-being.

 

The six international Writers-in-Residence include two poets from the UK, namely Andy Brown and Colin HerdColombian journalist Catalina Lobo-GuerreroFilipino fiction writer Glenn DiazPolish writer and filmmaker Marta Dzido; and Danish-Swedish writer and artist Matilde Søes Rasmussen. They will share their insights at different online events, such as the opening conversation, panel discussions, and writing workshops. Please refer to the appendix for a brief introduction to the writers.

 

All events will be conducted via Zoom, and they are free of charge.
